About the speaker:
Charity Majors is a software engineer, systems administrator, and operational leader who has spent her career building and scaling world-class infrastructure. As the Cofounder and CTO of Honeycomb.io, she is a pioneer of the observability movement, advocating for systems that allow engineers to understand complex, unpredictable software behaviors in real-time.
Prior to Honeycomb, Charity was an infrastructure lead at Facebook, Parse, and Linden Lab. She is the co-author of "Observability Engineering" and is widely known for her influential blog and talks on sociotechnical systems, high-performing engineering cultures, and the critical importance of "testing in production."
