The following Terms & Conditions apply to the participation in, and the related ticket purchase for, the developer conference code.talks (hereinafter referred to as "the Event"), hosted by alphalist GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer"), as amended.

1. Scope of Application

The following provisions constitute the contractual agreement between the participant and alphalist GmbH, Geranienweg 4, 24610 Trappenkamp, regarding participation in the "code.talks" developer conference.

2. Registration and Ticket Purchase


Process: Registration for the Event is completed by purchasing a ticket via our partner doo GmbH, Sandstraße 33, 80335 Munich. The General Terms and Conditions of doo GmbH apply to the technical purchase process.

  • Capacity: Participation is limited to 1,600 attendees per event day.

3. Returns, Cancellations, and Right of Withdrawal

3.1 No Returns or Exchanges

Purchased tickets are generally excluded from return or exchange. Cancellations by the participant or the Organizer are not permitted. This remains applicable in cases of illness, non-attendance, or other personal reasons.


3.2 Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Organizer

A return of tickets is only possible in the event of a total cancellation or an unreasonable rescheduling of the Event.

  • Unreasonable Rescheduling: A change of date or location is considered unreasonable if the new details are not acceptable to the visitor, taking their legitimate interests into account.

  • Force Majeure: The right to a refund does not apply if the cancellation or rescheduling is due to Force Majeure.

  • Refunds: In the event of a cancellation or unreasonable rescheduling, the Organizer will refund the ticket price. Announcements regarding exhibitors, speakers, or topics are non-binding and subject to change at any time.


3.3 Statutory Right of Withdrawal

Pursuant to Section 312g (2) No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no statutory right of withdrawal for ticket purchases, regardless of whether the attendee registers as a business (entrepreneur) or a private consumer.

4. Limitation of Liability

Risk: Participation in the Event is at the participant's own risk.

  • General Disclaimer: The Organizer assumes no liability for damages of any kind, including accidents, lost clothing, or other personal items.

  • Exceptions: This disclaimer does not apply to:

    • Damages resulting from intent or gross negligence by the Organizer or its agents.

    • Injury to life, limb, or health.

  • Negligence: In cases of simple negligence, liability is limited to typically foreseeable damages.

  • Force Majeure & Safety: The Organizer is entitled to modify or cancel the Event due to Force Majeure, official orders, or safety reasons. In such cases, there is no obligation for the Organizer to pay damages to the participant.

  • Scope: These limitations of liability also extend to the personal liability of employees, representatives, and third parties associated with the Organizer. By registering, every participant acknowledges this disclaimer.

5. Insurance

Participation in the Event is covered by the Organizer's liability insurance (Veranstalter-Haftpflichtversicherung) concluded by alphalist GmbH.

6. Rights of Use (Media & Data)

Participants are aware that film and photography will take place during the Event. By registering, participants agree that:

  • The data provided during registration, as well as photos, film recordings, videos, and interviews made in connection with the Event, may be used for event-related promotional purposes.

  • This usage is granted without any claim to compensation by the participant.
