From your laptop to Slack: scaling eve agents to 5+ teams @ 1KOMMA5°
Your local agent setup with MCPs and skills is perfect. Problem: you're the only one using it. Now you want it in Slack (so colleagues can ask the agent instead of you). And immediately the easy parts are hard: credentials, MCP connections, conversation state, code execution. Moritz built 1KOMMA5's first agent framework, and replaced it with Eve (Vercel's OSS agent framework), and rolled it out across teams. On stage, Bernd (Field Engineer at Vercel) asks him: what he built, what broke, and why eve makes the hard parts easy. Takeaways: - Keeping a conversation alive across deploys and crashes - Connecting agents to MCP servers without handing them credentials - Turning a bad answer into a feedback loop that reaches the team that can fix it - Routing a generic question to the right team agent - What cost looks like with multiple team agents running non-stop We close with cases that blew our mind: multiple team agents collaborating on questions no single team could answer alone.
