ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jan Tegtmeier is a 50-year-old software developer, hacker, IT nerd, inventor, entrepreneur, visionary, and father of four children based in Hamburg, Germany.
He’s currently setting up the NGO We Rule AI to (weruleai.org) advocate for the regulation of AI systems.
Jan is also sketching out a peaceful, organic revolution to move the world toward a Purpose Economy over the coming decades.
In 2022 he founded Tegtmeier Inkubator and is working with his team on a next-generation control system for intelligent homes. It brings capabilities you’d normally expect from science fiction into the home, while staying privacy-first and offline-first by design.
Since 2003, he also runs a company that develops custom software for clients.
Earlier in 1997 Jan and his father co-founded a Hamburg-based internet service provider
